A TOTAL OF 4,263 PEOPLE WERE GRANTED 'CITIZENSHIP' OF A PSEUDO-STATE IN 11 MONTHS

A total of 4,263 people were given the "citizenship" of the pseudo-state between January 1 and November 12, 2023, based on data that the "interior ministry" gave to the newspaper "Yeni Duzen".

According to the report, 764 of them are "exceptional naturalizations" by decision of the "Council of Ministers", while another 867 got "citizenship" because they previously had a "work permit". Of those who obtained "citizenship" through work permits, 808 were from Turkey and 59 from other nationalities.

It is noted that "citizenship" was also given to the spouses and children of those who became "citizens" because of their work permit. In this context, a total of 1,886 more people received "citizenship".

In the nearly 11 months of 2023, a total of 746 people, 484 men and 262 women, were granted citizenship by marriage.

Of the 764 people who took "exceptional citizenship", the newspaper refers to 404 people, of whom 381 were Turkish citizens and 23 of other nationalities.

The spouses and children of those who received "exceptional citizenship" also had the right to obtain "citizenship" and in this context, a total of 316 more became "citizens" of the pseudo-state. Of the spouses and children who received "citizenship," 306 were registered as Turkish citizens and 10 were registered with other nationalities.

While Yeni Duzhen was waiting for the data from the "interior ministry", the report said, the "cabinet" by decision on November 12 granted "exceptional citizenship" to another 44 people. It is not known whether the wives and children of these 44 people also took "citizenship".
