Letympiotis: There is no agreement
There is no agreement on Pyla, said Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letympiotis, when asked to comment on a Turkish Cypriot website.
Consultations on the issue, he said, are ongoing. "We are in contact with the United Nations," Letympiotis noted, reiterating the position of the President of the Republic that the Greek Cypriot side will not proceed with any settlement that will challenge the status of the buffer zone and create any military advantage for the occupying forces.
When there is a settlement, the public will be informed accordingly, the Spokesman added.
Asked if work is currently being carried out within the buffer zone in the area, Letympioti replied, "As far as I know, no."
