Retail stores in the centre of Paphos will remain in operation until late Friday evening.
According to Mr. Savvas Malietzis, in an effort to improve and serve the public, the shopkeepers of the historic shopping centre of Pafos have decided, as a first measure, to keep the shops open every Friday and for all summer months until 10 pm.
It is noted that the area in the evenings is "full of life" due to the change of use of many shops in the area that now operate as cafeterias.
Shopkeepers may not only make the measure permanent but also extend it for other days.
