A female mouflon was spotted today, early in the afternoon, by residents of the village of Gialia. The mouflon, which is alive but injured, carries pellets on its body, according to the president of the community of Gialias, Mamas Gregoriou.
The president of the community contacted the game service and the forest department that have taken care of him. The mouflon could not move, but experts hope it will be saved.
It seems that some poachers benefited from the movement of mouflons during the last devastating fire in the heart of the Paphos forest.
