A 38-year-old man from Limassol who was watching the Paphos-Omonia football match on Saturday at Stelios Kyriakides Stadium was arrested by police who tracked him down while using a laser device to obstruct the players and referees of the game.
According to the spokesman of the Pafos Police Directorate, Michalis Nicolaou, the person in question was detected through the CCTV using the laser device with which he was causing obstruction of the match.
The 38-year-old from Limassol was charged in writing and released to be summoned later.

Police in Paphos are investigating a case in which two British tourists – a father and son – were injured during a brawl in the Coral Bay area.
According to pafoslive, the son was transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital ICU, however, his condition is now stable.
Both men are unable to point authorities to the persons involved in the beating, pafoslive reports.
Police are continuing investigations.

The immediate actions of members of the Police led to the arrest of one person, shortly after committing a burglary in a restaurant and theft. He is a 52-year-old man who allegedly admitted to committing the above offences. The stolen goods were located and picked up by the Police.
The burglary was committed around 5.10am. today, in a restaurant in the centre of Nicosia. According to the police, the manager of the restaurant, the perpetrator allegedly stole from the restaurant various electronic and electrical devices, as well as a sum of money.
Members of the Police immediately went to the scene where they conducted examinations and collected various evidence. Subsequently, members of the Ledra Substation and the Burglary Unit of the ICF of Nicosia conducted a patrol in the surrounding area to locate the perpetrator.
Using testimony obtained from the above examinations, during the patrol, a man was located, near the restaurant, who matched the description of the perpetrator of the burglary. The man was stopped for a check, to determine that he was a 52-year-old man, who when questioned about the burglary in question allegedly admitted to committing it. He even indicated the place where he hid the stolen property, as a result of which it was located and picked up by the Police.
A judicial arrest warrant was issued against him under which he was arrested and detained to facilitate interrogations.
The Burglary Unit of the ICF Nicosia is investigating the case.
