The approval of the environmental authority was secured by a project concerning the construction and operation of a banquet hall, which will be located within the administrative boundaries of the Community of Pissouri, in the area of Limnari and Sklinitzia, in the Limassol district.
The banquet hall is expected to open in mid-2024, will be owned by Cypriot businessmen Nicolas and Yiannakis Antoniades and its construction cost will exceed €1 million.
Based on the submitted study, it will consist of the following areas:
-Ground floor (kitchen, catering, hall and sanitary facilities) of 465 sq.m.
-Mezzanine (office, toilet and storage area) of 125 sq.m.
- Parking spaces (42)
-Landscaped outdoor spaces
-Internal road network with entry and exit to the existing road network.
Access to the plots will be possible from the road B6-Pissouri Bay (F609), Ambelonon Street. Most of the land where the banquet hall will be erected at this stage is used for grain cultivation and the remaining part is rented to Columbia Beach Resort as storage space.
The hall, based on the environmental impact study submitted by the owners, is expected to host 25,000 users/visitors annually, with a maximum number of 150 events/year. During the operation of the project, two events will be held during the weekend - one at noon and one in the evening, with a maximum of 180 people per event. It will be possible to organize events outside the weekend if there is such demand. The events will take place only indoors, both during the winter and summer months.
