CRIME ROUND UP

 Filenews 30 April 2023

The protagonists of an episode in which one of them was injured and taken to hospital and a second was arrested and detained, were two 65-year-olds in Paphos.

According to Paphos Police Director Nikos Tsappis, a 65-year-old man was arrested in connection with a case of assault causing grievous bodily harm to another 65-year-old neighbour. The victim, he said, was taken to Paphos Hospital and according to the on-duty doctor had frontal bleeding and was detained for further treatment.

Police proceeded after further examinations to arrest the 65-year-old who is in custody. The cause of the fight, Mr. Tsapis said, is personal differences between those involved.
