The final stage is the shielding works of the Chlorakas coast. Three of the five breakwaters being constructed in front of the Agios Georgios and Laura hotels have already been built.
The works, according to Chlorakas community president Nikolas Liasidis, will cost €4.2 million and will also include a ramp for launching and lifting boats.
Mr. Liasidis estimated that upon completion of the project, sandy beaches will be created in the area, erosion will be stopped and the Community Council will have revenues from the exploitation of the beaches and the coastal kiosks that will be created.
