The 3-hour work stoppage, which was announced for Thursday, at the TAEP of Paphos General Hospital is suspended, as PASYKI said in a statement.
As mentioned, the reason for the suspension, at this stage, is the personal intervention of the Minister of Health Dr. Popis Kanari, who asked PA.SY.K.I. to be given time until Friday, the day on which she will visit Paphos Hospital, in order to inform and announce immediate solutions to the issue of the understaffing of the TAEP at the General Hospital of Paphos.
"PASYKI, after informing its members about the developments, suspends the measures, pending at last substantial solutions that will protect both patients and doctors", he notes.
In addition, PASYKI states that it expects that the involvement of the Minister of Health and the undertaking of this initiative will bring practical results and not repeated promises, while attributing responsibility for the current situation of Public Hospitals.
Otherwise, he says, he will now have the right both to reinstate the measures immediately, but also to escalate them.
