The Police are continuing their investigations to locate a 69-year-old foreign resident of Tala, according to Paphos ADE Spokesperson and Paphos ICF officer Michalis Nikolaou.
As Mr. Nikolaou reported on March 24 at 13:00, a 67-year-old permanent resident of Cyprus reported that a 69-year-old man, who lives in Tala, has been absent from his home for the last two weeks. The woman took care of him from time to time and when she looked for him she found that he was missing. The 69-year-old had been living alone in Cyprus for years.
Members of the Paphos ADE went to his residence and as Mr. Nikolaou mentioned, it must have been abandoned several days ago.
From the examinations so far, it seems that the 69-year-old did not leave Cyprus. However, it will be examined whether he went, through a barricade, from the free to the occupied areas. In addition, Mr. Nikolaou noted that none of his relatives were located for the Police to contact him.
In conclusion, Mr. Nikolaou called the disappearance of the 69-year-old suspicious, adding that the examinations to locate him continue.
