FUEL - CHEAPER THAN MANY IN THE EU

In the countries of the European Union with the lowest selling price of gasoline, after taxes, remains Cyprus, according to the data published yesterday by the Commission and having as a reference date January 16, 2023. Below the European average are also the selling prices in Cyprus of diesel and heating oil.

According to the analysis of the data from "F", the average selling price of gasoline (super 95 octane) in Cyprus after tax is €1,369.21 per litre (reference date 16/1/23), when in the EU "27" it is €1,697.03 and in the Europe of "19" it is €1,747.80.

The most expensive petrol in the EU is paid by Danish citizens, with the price, including taxes, averaging €1,981 per litre, followed by Finland with €1,871per litre, while in third place are Greece and France with a price of €1,857 per litre. In 4th place is Italy with an average selling price per litre of €1,813.58, followed by Germany with €1,801, the Netherlands with €1,813, Sweden with an average selling price per litre of €1,755.78 and Estonia with €1,713 per litre.

The lowest price is found in Romania, €1,287.44 per litre, in Slovenia with €1,300.96 per litre, Bulgaria €1,300.8 (€1,369.21 in Cyprus). In the remaining countries the prices are: Croatia €1,388, Malta €1,340, Poland €1,392.13, Lithuania €1,484.36, Slovakia €1,489. They are followed by Austria €1.567, Belgium €1.660.93, Czech Republic €1.507,61, Hungary €1,568,15, Ireland €1,571.2, Latvia €1.620.72, Portugal €1,672, Luxembourg €1,544, Spain 1,619.33

Diesel fuel

Regarding diesel, the most expensive price is found in Sweden with €2,160.3 per litre, in Finland €2,061 per litre, Denmark €1,889.99, Germany €1,837, France €1,884.56, Italy €1,863.68, Estonia €1,734, Netherlands €1,768.

In Cyprus the average price is €1,573.88 per litre, while in the EU of "27" the average selling price is €1,771,87 and in the Europe of the "19" €1,795.15. In Greece, the average selling price of diesel is €1,783, based on data from the European Commission.

In the remaining countries the prices are: Austria €1,740, Belgium €1,715.31, Bulgaria €1,465.13, Croatia €1,623, Czech Republic €1,555.32, Ireland €1,684.7, Latvia €1,697.12, Lithuania €1,652.79, Luxembourg €1,614, Malta €1,210, Poland €1,624.45, Portugal €1,611, Romania €1,487.53, Slovakia €1,617, Slovenia €1,528.48, Spain €1,679.08.
