JUVENILE UNIT - IMAGES OF DESTRUCTION FROM INSIDE THE UNIT

The continuous protests of residents and businessmen in the area where the shelter for migrant children operates in the tourist area of Kato Paphos about the unacceptable situation, seem to be confirmed by photographic material published exclusively today by "F".

The first images from inside the hotel unit that has been converted into a place to host these children, confirm the allegations of Homeric quarrels between immigrants, riots and vandalism and generally about a situation that constitutes defamation of Pafos in the eyes of foreign visitors, since the unit was created in the heart of the tourist area, next to the bustling Tombs of the Kings.

Based on the visual material, the material damage inside the hotel unit is significant, with windows and other glass surfaces being crushed and makeshift interventions have been made to avoid the worst. It also appears that wood or cardboard has been placed on windows and doors that were also the target of vandalism, while inside the building and in the courtyards the results of fights and breaking of various objects are evident.

Revealing information from "F" also indicates that the problem has become so serious now that the competent state officials who have moved to the facility to serve the needs of its underage residents, have in recent days exited it and are working through their cars, which are parked in adjacent areas. Now, according to this information, only police officers are entering the facility to put an end to the ever-increasing troubles among the residents, but also paramedic staff to provide first aid and transport the injured to the Hospital, as happened in the serious incidents previously.
