Paphos Police thought they had seen everything. This time the detection of a driver who was on the streets under the influence of drugs, was not about a car driver, as almost every night happens now in the city, but about a cyclist.
As unbelievable as it may sound, the cyclist in question, aged 29, was spotted late on Wednesday night cycling on a Paphos street and his whole demeanour aroused suspicions among the Pafos traffic patrol men who were carrying out traffic checks. The cyclist underwent a drug test with a positive reading. He was transferred to the offices of the Paphos Police Department where he was charged in writing and released pending the official laboratory results.
On the same night in Paphos, a second person was reported for driving under the influence of drugs, this time a car driver.
