Two large fires broke out at noon in the district of Paphos, one in Drousia and the other in Kritou Terra.
According to the spokesman of the Fire Brigade, Andreas Kettis, four aircraft of the Department of Forests and a helicopter of the National Guard are operating to extinguish the fire in Drousia. The Fire Brigade supports with a fire truck since the area is under the jurisdiction of the Department of Forests.
At the same time, a second fire is ongoing despite the community of Kritos Terra. As Mr. Kettis notes, ground fire brigades have arrived at the spot and are expected to be reinforced, since the contribution of aerial means already operating in the area of Drousia was requested.
