Hellenic Bank customers can withdraw cash of up to €100 in more than 350 locations throughout Cyprus, such as bakeries, kiosks, gas stations, supermarkets, butchers and department stores which operate as ATMs. With an easy process on the part of merchants, the customer can now secure cash, without going to a bank branch to be served.
Hellenic Bank, setting high the bar for the provision of services and the goal of seamless easy and fast service to its customers, is the first to offer this service, while intensifying its efforts for a significant increase in points.
It is worth noting that the service is in addition to the bank's already upgraded network of services, in the context of modernizing its branch network and reducing them, providing for the needs of customers in cash throughout Cyprus and covering many remote areas and villages.
All you need to know
To withdraw cash there is no minimum purchase fee. With your debit card you can buy a bread or even a bottle of water and withdraw cash.
Going to the cashier to pay you can simply with your debit card ask for cash up to €100, free of charge and be served easily and quickly, combining your purchases with cash withdrawal without hassle and unnecessary travel looking for the nearest ATM.
In order to withdraw, you enter your personal pin just as it happens with the withdrawal of cash from an ATM. The amount is charged to your card and you immediately receive the money you requested from the store's cashier. It is worth noting that the Cash back service is only available when the consumer presents his card and not via Apple Pay / Wallet.
The Cash back service is activated by the company itself, after contacting the terminal provider for the possibility of withdrawing cash, up to €100, or by specifying other amounts e.g. €20, €50 etc.
The service is offered with Visa or Mastercard debit cards, of which Hellenic Bank is the largest issuer.
