22 YEAR OLD TOURIST HANDCUFFED FOR BEATING A NURSE

A 22-year-old woman was detained for an investigation into a case of drunkenness, causing concern at the Accident and Emergency Department of Paphos General Hospital, public insult, assaulting a police officer, assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to a nurse, as well as escape from lawful detention, while two other women are being sought in the case.

According to the Spokesperson of the Pafos Police Department and Head of the Pafos ICF, Michalis Nikolaou, at 4 a.m. on Sunday, three women from Great Britain, who were allegedly intoxicated, were transported by ambulance to the Accident and Emergency Department of paphos General Hospital.

As Mr. Nikolaou mentioned, while the three were in the First Aid Ward, they allegedly caused concern and shouted, insulted, causing concern, and then allegedly attacked a nurse and caused her head injury.

"The on-duty police officer immediately intervened and informed them that they are under arrest," Mr. Nikolaou said, adding that they fled the Hospital. Arrest warrants were issued against them, on the basis of which one of the three, aged 22, was arrested. The other two women are wanted.

The examinations are continued by the ICF of Pafos.
