Intervention to ensure the safety of the country's atomic reactors as the Russian invasion approaches Europe's largest nuclear plant, the head of Ukraine's state-owned nuclear power company has called for.
The statement came on Tuesday morning, despite the fact that yesterday the Russians said they have under their control the Zaporizia nuclear power plant, the largest nuclear power plant in Europe, located on the banks of the Dnieper in central-southern Ukraine.
Denied by Ukraine
After this statement, Ukraine's state-owned nuclear power company, Energoatom, refuted the claims of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
To the Russians, Chernobyl
It should be noted that since last week the destroyed Chernobyl nuclear power plant and the surrounding area, located near Ukraine's border with Belarus, has been in the hands of the Russians.
