Four persons were arrested by members of the Police, after the detection in two residences in Paphos of quantities of narcotic substances, as well as property, such as jewellery, watches, laptop computers, and mobile phones, for which tests are being carried out whether they are the product of theft.
Specifically, at around 8.30 last night, members of YKAN Pafos, conducted with a court warrant, a search of an apartment in which a 44-year-old man lives, in the presence of himself, as well as three other men aged 41, 35 and 24, who were in the apartment. During the investigation, 56 packages of methamphetamine weighing a total of 101 grams, 18 packages of cannabis weighing a total of 54.5 grams, cannabis resin of one gram, two packages of cocaine weighing a total of three grams, as well as 54 tablets believed to be "Ecstasy" pills, were found on the balcony of the apartment.
A gross amount of about 40 grams more of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine was found on the coffee table of the apartment's living room, while in the apartment were found, among others, 164 pieces of jewellery, 26 watches, and nine portable computers, of which two were the tablet type.
The four suspects denied any involvement in the drugs found, and did not give adequate explanations for the property found in the apartment. They were arrested by the members of YKAN, for offences committed in the act.
A search was then carried out at the 24-year-old suspect's apartment, where members of the Police located 28 mobile phones, four other tablet-type laptops, two electronic devices and a GPS device, as well as the amount of €1,200. For possession of the items and the money, the 24-year-old gave allegations that are being investigated.
The four suspects were detained, with the YKAN Team in Paphos and the Pafos ICF continuing the examinations.
