The Procedures for the promotion and implementation of 42 important development projects, with a total value of €52 million, which will contribute to the further upgrading of its hospitals and health centres, were initiated by the State Health Services Organization (CYSO), as stated in an announcement.
In this context and in order to expedite the procedures, it is noted, the Organization proceeded to the announcement of an open competition for the recruitment of Project Manager Teams at the same time, for all projects.
As mentioned, among the 42 projects, are included projects that fall under the Recovery and Resilience Plan, such as the upgrading of Makarios Hospital, the creation and expansion of Dialysis Units in the General Hospitals of Limassol and Paphos and the upgrading of the Accident and Emergency Departments in all hospitals of the Organization.
According to the announcement, each project team of Consulting Designers will consist of the Project Team Manager, the Architect Consultant, the Civil Engineer Consultant, the Mechanical Engineer Advisor, the Electrical Engineer Consultant, the Quantity Advisor and the Safety and Health - Study Coordinator Advisor.
The provision of services will include preliminary study with a Building Program, Drafts, Preliminary Expenditure Schedule and after approvals by the CySEC, creation of the final design and plans of the Project, preparation of tender documents and estimation of the Building Contract Amount (including appointed subcontracts), support for Tender Notice, Evaluation of Tenders, Decision Making, Award of Contract, supervision for the Implementation of the Project during the construction and receipt of the Project.
Focusing on the patient and committed to the goal of autonomy, he says, finally, the CySEC will continue its efforts to upgrade its building infrastructure and, by extension, the health services provided to all citizens without exception.
