The Republic of Cyprus proceeded with the repatriation of three foreign persons, by decision of the Immigration Officer, according to the Assistant Police Director of Pafos, Michalis Ioannou.
Specifically, according to Mr. Ioannou, yesterday at Pafos airport, members of the Aliens and Immigration Service, after coordinated actions, with the aim of implementing the policy of voluntary missions in the countries of origin of illegally staying foreigners in the Republic, proceeded to the repatriation of three foreign persons.
Against the three persons, noted Mr. Ioannou, an equal number of decisions were issued by the Head of the Asylum Service under article 16 and 18 of the Refugee Law 2000-2020.
One person is from Nigeria aged 26 years, the other from Congo aged 19 years and the third also from Nigeria aged 31 years.
The three persons departed on a specific flight after the decision of the Immigration Officer, concluded Mr. Ioannou.
