The rare phenomenon "cappuccino" was brought by the cyclone Carmel to Paphos and specifically to the area near the castle. The result was to create enchanting images, offering unique moments to the attendees.
Scientists explain that strange foam is created by impurities in the sea, such as salts, chemicals, dead plants and fish that decompose and secretions from algae.
All this is mixed together by strong currents, resulting in bubbles.
These bubbles stick together as they are carried to the shore and turn into foam when the wave breaks with force on the rocks.
