FIRST RAINFALLS ARE COMING - FORECAST FOR THE WEEK

Weak seasonal low pressure affects the area. According to the Department of Meteorology, from today Monday until Friday, increased cloudiness is expected that will give local rain and / or thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains and the interior, without excluding the possibility of hail. The temperature will drop from Wednesday, to be below the average climatic values. In detail, the prognosis:

On Monday afternoon, the weather will be mostly clear but temporarily increased cloudiness that will be observed locally is not excluded to give isolated light rain, in the mountains. In the evening, the weather will be mostly clear.

Tomorrow Tuesday, the weather will be mostly clear with temporarily elevated cloudiness initially on the west and north coasts. Later, overcast clouds are expected to give isolated rain and thunderstorms, in the highlands and in some areas in the interior and northeast, after noon. The temperature will rise to around 33 degrees in the interior, around 31 degrees in the south, east and north coasts, around 29 degrees in the west coast and around 24 degrees in the higher mountains.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the weather will be partly cloudy intermittently and local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly at noon and in the afternoon. In a storm, hail may also fall.

On Friday, the weather will initially be mostly clear but later clouds that will develop are expected to give isolated rain or even thunderstorms, mainly in the southern regions of Troodos but also in areas on the southern coast.

The temperature will drop on Wednesday and not significantly change on Thursday, to be below the average climatic values, while a slight rise is expected on Friday.
