RENOVATION OF LISTED BUILDING ON ATHENA STREET, PAPHOS, SET FOR RENOVATION PROJECT

For immediate implementation, the renovation of the listed building on Athena Street, owned by the Social Insurance Fund and the simultaneous construction of a three-storey building, together with parking and storage space in the rest of the plot, is led for the accommodation of the five Departments of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance.

This important development took place at today's meeting in Nicosia of Mayor Paphos, Phaedon Phaedon, with the Director General of the Ministry of Transport, Transport and Works, the Director General of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, the Director of the Department of Public Works and the Director of the Department of Social Insurance.

It is expected that in 15 days all procedural decisions will be taken and in September an Architectural Competition will be launched, with the aim of starting construction work in the first quarter of 2022.

The total cost of the project, including VAT, is expected to be around €7 million. The cost will be covered by the Social Insurance Fund and the implementation of the project will be undertaken by the Municipality of Paphos.
