''CIVIL'' IN THE RETAIL SECTOR OF PAPHOS

Filenews 11 July 2021 - by Dora Christodoulou

The strong reaction of retailers in the shopping centre of Paphos to the turn taken by the development of the region, with catering companies now monopolizing the activity, is causing a "civil war" in the ranks of entrepreneurs. The reactions of the shopkeepers of the centre are characterized as disparaging and levelling by the Cyprus Association of Leisure Center Owners (PASIKA) Paphos, which in a statement regrets the separation attempted by the shopkeepers and retailers..

The owners of leisure centres, through their expressive instrument, speak of practices that have transcended the limits of professional solidarity and seek in an inelegant and offensive way to define specific frameworks for the development of the area, based on their own aesthetic perception.

"With their disparaging comments, they zero in on the excellent work done so far by the City Council, as part of the efforts to revitalize and revitalize the city's shopping center," PASIKA argues. "We not only do not agree, but we fully endorse the view of thousands of visitors from all parts of Cyprus, who speak with the best words about the regeneration of the traditional core of the city".

PASIKA concludes its announcement by stressing that the redevelopment that took place in the centre of Paphos, is much better than all the corresponding projects that took place in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
