The President of the Board of Directors of Alphamega Supermarkets, Mr. Andreas Papaellinas, expresses his shock at the tragic consequences of the devastating fire in the mountainous areas of Limassol and Larnaca. Undoubtedly, the consequences are unbearable for the region and Cyprus as a whole.
Mr Andreas Papaellinas, wanting to support our affected fellow citizens and their families, considered it appropriate to offer directly to them the sum of €500,000 for their immediate relief. The way in which financial assistance is made available will be settled within the next few days.
In these difficult times, the unity of our people is important in order to overcome the consequences of the disaster and to support our fellow citizens who are being tested.
Tsokkos Hotels & Resorts expresses its deepest condolences and deepest sorrow to the families of the victims of the most devastating fire of the last 50 years in Cyprus and a big thank you to the firefighters and all the volunteers who have shown courage and conscientiousness.
"Reflecting on the sad consequences in the context of its social action and sensitivity and in hours of unity and above all solidarity, the group decided to support those affected by the nightmarish disaster in mountainous Limassol and Larnaca by offering shelter, food, water until the situation improves. In addition, in consultation with the Cyprus Hotel Association (PASYXE), the group will offer those affected a percentage of its revenue from direct bookings over the next 2 months.
