VACCINE SCHEDULE - 11 & 12 MAY

 Filenews 10 May 2021

With the aim of vaccinating at least 65% of the population with the 1st dose by the end of June, the Ministry of Health is rapidly making appointments available for the 20-29 age group. Already in Cyprus, 36.5% of the population who can receive the vaccine have been vaccinated with the 1st dose, which is higher than the European Union average (31.3%).

Schedule appointments on 11 and 12 May

Continuing the process of arranging appointments, the Vaccination Portal will open in the coming days as follows:

The Vaccination Portal will be accessible on the above dates and times only for the ages mentioned in each case and not for older people. Vaccinations will be carried out with the available licensed vaccines in the Vaccination Centres operating in all Provinces.

Age 27-28 - Tuesday 11 May - 7.30am to 5.30pm

Age 25-26 - Wednesday 12 May - 7.30am to 5.30pm

At a fairly advanced stage vaccinations in the Provinces

While the scheduling of appointments continues as normal, a significant proportion of the population has been vaccinated by Province. More specifically:

Area                                                              % vaccinated

The benefits of vaccination are now also evident in Cyprus, since, as the latest data show, the number of cases and hospital admissions has decreased significantly as a result of vaccination coverage. Remarkable is the fact that cases with a history of vaccination, symptomatology are mild and do not result in hospitalization.

The vaccine against the disease and adherence to simple personal protection measures are our weapons to limit the spread of the virus and stop transmission. The return to normality as soon as possible and the safe restart of social activities and the economy, depends on the individual responsibility of each citizen towards the whole and the perception that our goal will only be achieved through collegiality.
