Postponement of the events planned this weekend at the church under construction of Saint Ephraim in Tala, announced their organizers. According to a related post last night by the Archimandrite of the Monastery of Agios Neophytos, Alexios Enclaviotis, the events will not take place after a member of their organizing committee tested positive for the crown.

Since many had been in contact with this person, explains Archimandrite Alexios, it was considered that the events should be postponed in order to safeguard public health and regrets the change of plans and any problems it causes to believers who had arranged their programme accordingly.

As announced for days by the Organizing Committee, this afternoon there was to be a festive Evening and tomorrow the Orthros and the Holy Mass. At the same time, the sacred relics of St. Ephraim, St. Anthony and St. Neophytos of Eglytus, as well as the holy Petrahelion of St. Ephraim, would be transported for pilgrimage and blessing of the faithful. At the same time, because today the memory of the new martyrs Raphael, Nicholas and Irene is celebrated, their remains would also be carried for the blessing and pilgrimage of the faithful.

These events will not take place in the end and according to the organizers they will be reprogrammed at a later stage, in conditions that allow the health-safe gathering of the faithful.
