An earthquake was recorded on Monday morning in Cyprus, focusing on Nicosia province.
According to initial information, the earthquake was 4.4 on the Richter scale and was centred in Nicosia.
The earthquake was felt in many areas of the low Paphos region.
Several citizens call the Police and Fire Department asking for information, while the intensity of the earthquake was not severe enough to cause problems or damage.
The competent authorities are on alert, however, in order to provide any assistance that may arise or information to serve the citizens.
