The Minister of Health's decree was published under which close case contacts can now be released at seven days provided they have a negative molecular test (PCR).

The Decree states in particular that "all persons covered by the provisions of this Regulation shall remain in a compulsory self-limit regime and shall either undergo a molecular examination for COVID-19 disease on the seventh day of self-limit at their own expense and the self-limit shall be terminated provided that the result of the examination is negative, or released on the fourteenth day of self-limit, provided that they are not positive for COVID-19 disease. , in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health".

'It is understood that, for recreational craft arriving from 'Grey' countries and for which the period between their departure from a 'Grey' category country to its arrival in the Republic is less than 14 days, the occupants shall remain in compulsory self-limit on board for as many days as necessary to complete the total number of 14 days. , or undergo a molecular examination for COVID-19 disease on the seventh day of self-limit at the same cost and the self-limit shall be terminated, provided that the result of the examination is negative'.

According to the new decree, employers advance the cost of accommodation of the above persons for their mandatory restriction in hotels and/or tourist accommodations with which the Ministry of Tourism has contracted and the cost of carrying out two molecular tests for COVID-19 disease (a test upon arrival and a repeat test on the seventh day of the mandatory restriction) and the mandatory restriction is terminated provided that the result of the molecular examination is negative.

'It is further provided that workers who fall within the provisions of this Regulation and who either hold a valid vaccination certificate for COVID-19 disease from the Republic have completed the vaccination scheme and have passed the required period of time as specified in the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health, or have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 disease and not six months have passed since the date of sampling of their initial laboratory diagnosis. , excluded from the obligation to carry out a rapid antigen detection test for COVID-19 disease', it shall be stated.

Release on the 7th day with negative PCR applies only to close contacts and not to positive cases.
