Signed on Friday, April 2, 2021, in the Department of Public Works, the Contract for the construction of measures to stabilize part of the old road Paphos – Limassol in the area of Petra tou Romiou, Phase A, in length 200m. The Contract was signed on behalf of the Government. Director of the Department of Public Works Mr. Antonis Koutsoullis and, on behalf of the Company "Lambrou & Poutziouris Construction Ltd", the Technical Director Mr. Charalambos Poutziouris.
The project concerns the construction of two clusters of walls and other necessary measures to stabilize part of the old road Paphos - Limassol around the Petra tou Romiou area.
In general, the project includes the following tasks:
• Construction of piles.
• Manufacture of headbands.
• Construction of a support wall on the north side of the road.
• Road construction work (placement of asphalt layers, foundation, substrate)
• Work on rainwater management.
• Subsoil remediation work.)
Implementation of the project is scheduled to begin in mid-May 2021, with a run duration of 5 months and a cost of €740,000.00.
