Unprecedented snow pictures for Paphos

Images that we usually see only in Troodos and in our television receivers from areas abroad, were fortunate to see in their morning awakening the residents of Panagia. A white, impressive landscape was the result of all-night snowfall in the area, creating a breathtaking scenery.

In white were dressed other areas of mountainous and semi-mountainous Paphos, in Panagia however the snow was so much that it created images truly unique for the data of Paphos.

Otherwise, the bad weather is closing... 48 hours in Paphos, with heavy rainfall, fog, limited visibility and black skies over the city and parts of the province being the dominant features of the weather from Monday afternoon until morning today.

However, the situation has been controlled so far according to the competent authorities, since the Police and Fire Brigade do not have before them reports of serious problems caused by the severe deterioration of weather events, in addition to the expected concentrations of quantities of water in problem areas of the road network or in basements.

However, due to the warning of the Meteorological Service, the state agencies, as well as the services of the Municipalities and Communities of Paphos province, continue to be on alert for preventive actions or for immediate intervention that will prevent an increase in the consequences of bad weather. Municipalities' crews are on the streets to deal with problems, while special mobilisation is observed by the Municipality of Paphos, the Port Authority, the Port Police and professional fishermen in the port area, in order to prevent property damage.
