FIRST SHOT OF 2nd SQUADRON SELF-PROPELLED GUNS NORA ALEXANDER TGS

In the presence of the Minister of Defence, Charalambos Petridis, the Chief of the National Guard Lieutenant General, Democritus Zervakis and the Serbian Ambassador to Cyprus, Marko Blagojevic, the first shot of the 2nd squadron of self-propelled guns Nora Alexander TGS took place today at the Kitio firing range.

The procurement of this weapons system is part of the multi-annual plan to upgrade and modernise the National Guard. With the inclusion of the 2nd Squadron Nora Alexander TGS, the capabilities of artillery are significantly upgraded.

The Nora Alexander TGS weapon system is of Serbian construction and origin and consists of 155mm self-propelled guns. Nora-B52KE type, Milosh armored vehicles and observation systems.

At the end of the shooting, the Minister of Defence warmly congratulated the national guard personnel on the excellent training, while noting that the effort to further upgrade the E.F., based on the current needs that arise, continues.
