For the purpose of purchasing or supplying essential goods/services, most messages were sent yesterday Monday, the second day of application of the lockdown, most messages to 8998. In particular, 125,364 sms were sent for the purpose of supplying essentials. The second reason why the Cypriots exceptionally applied for travel was for sports purposes with the messages amounting to 85,128.
The fewest messages (1,341) involved going to a ceremony (funeral, wedding, christening) or going to a church for individual prayer.
A total of 405,557 messages were sent yesterday with valid messages amounting to 354,747 and 349,086 approved.

Reasons for travel:
1. Go to a pharmacy or donate or visit a doctor or carry out a laboratory examination for Covid-19 or for vaccination in vaccination centres.
2. Go to a store to purchase or supply essential goods/services, including take away.
3. Go to a bank, in so far as an electronic transaction is not possible.
4. Absolutely necessary visits to government departments or services of the general public sector and local government.
5. Trafficking to assist persons who are unable to self-serve or who have to protect themselves or who are in self-restriction and/or in places of mandatory restriction (quarantine).
6. Movement for physical exercise or individual sports at places where access is permitted.
7. Go to a ceremony (e.g. funeral, wedding, christening) by first and second degree relatives who do not exceed the number of 10 persons or for individual prayer
8. Declaration of any other purpose of movement which may be justified on the basis of curfew measures (by providing the necessary evidence applicable in each case):
Category 8 shall be deemed to include, inter alia, the following objectives:
- Movement of divorced parents or separated parents, which is necessary for the uninterrupted communication and contact of parents and children.
- Move for specialized treatments for people with disabilities or people with chronic conditions, along with their escort.
- Move to and from the camp.
- Go to and from Larnaca and Paphos Airports for the transport of persons, with the presentation of proof (ticket) proving the day and time of arrival/departure.
- Transition of farmers and livestock farmers, provided that they present the emergency and head subsidy form from the COMP or, if this does not exist, a certificate from the Provincial Office of Agriculture.
- Transfer of persons to animal shelters for the care of animals or for feeding stray animals, provided that they provide a certificate from a recognised animal welfare organisation, as well as proof of notification of each movement to the Veterinary Services.
