Large disparities are recorded in the charges for the refuse collection across Municipalities. Theatres will pay a higher fee than department stores, banks, banquet halls and other large businesses. In particular, theatres will be charged up to €20,000 a year based on the table submitted to the Parliament, while banks and other large companies will pay up to €10,000. The same applies to department stores and other related businesses. Homeowners will be charged up to €300 per year. The charges are included in the revised table approved by the Association of Municipalities of Cyprus and forwarded to the Parliamentary Committee of the Interior through the Ministry of Interior.

In more detail, the relevant table records the following charges:

- Houses, fee not exceeding €300.

- Supermarkets, department stores, shops, showrooms and supermarkets will pay a fee of no more than €10,000.

- Stadiums and sports facilities will pay up to €5,000 per year.

- Other premises, other than those mentioned above, will pay a fee not exceeding €5,000 per year

- Private, organized public events (in public places), with the approval of the municipality (per event) will pay fees not exceeding €5,000.

The president of the Association of Municipalities, Andreas Vyra, asked about it by "F", said that the amounts indicated are the maximum that can be imposed. This is a remunerative fee and municipalities charge fees based on the cost of the services they provide, he said. The ceilings of these amounts will obviously be valid for many years to come, but they are now provided so that we do not often resort to the House, he added. He also said they would be imposed in a staggered way and called on those affected not to worry. He also noted that several municipalities, although on the basis of tariffs, could charge higher fees, for years they have been imposing reasonable fees and in some cases also subsidising the service provided.
