Filenews 16 December 2020 - by Dora Christodoulou
The operation of the Paphos Citizen Service Centre (KEP) on Eleftherios Venizelos Avenue was finally suspended from today due to the detection of confirmed cases of COVID-19 to employees. The issue was revealed yesterday by Filenews, following complaints that although positive cases had already been diagnosed as of Monday, the Centre was still operating until yesterday.
A statement from the Ministry of Finance states that the Department of Public Administration and Personnel is disinfecting the KEP and all necessary actions, in accordance with the instructions of the competent authorities, for the purpose of protecting public health.
The public who had an appointment scheduled for the next few days is kindly requested, according to the announcement, not to come to the KEP. For emergency services, the public can contact the Provincial Offices of the competent Departments/Services of the Province of Paphos or the Citizens' Centre (KEPO) of the Paphos Provincial Post Office.
With regard to documents ready for delivery (identities, passports, driving licences, etc.), it is stated in the notice that the public can receive them from the Paphos KEP, from Wednesday 16/12/2020 until Friday 18/12/2020 from 09:00 to 12:00.
A new communication will be issued for the reopening of the Paphos KEP, concluding the communication calling for the public's understanding and cooperation and expressing regret for the inconvenience.
