Filenews 16 December 2020 - by Dora Christodoulou

Within the framework of the European cultural tourism project Culture and Heritage for Responsible, Innovative and Sustainable Tourism Actions and in collaboration with the Department of Antiquities, a major action plan amounting to €35,000 in the Archaeological Park of Kato Paphos is being implemented by reactivation of archaeological sites from the prohibition decrees in Paphos and Limassol.

Through the implementation of this action plan, two interactive touch screens are expected to be installed on the site of the park's visitor centre. An 82-inch screen has already been installed at the site where the park's film is displayed, while preparations are under way for the preparation of a three-minute film further highlighting the archaeological site.

The whole action is in line with the provisions of the management plan of the Archaeological Park and is expected to contribute to the efforts made by the Department of Antiquities and local bodies to promote the archaeological heritage of the province.
