- 339new cases of the disease were detected and confirmed by molecular tests (PCR), bringing the total number of cases to 15,789. The 339 include 98 verifications from rapid tests of the previous days.
- In 196 cases the rapid antigen test had a positive result, which should be verified by the molecular method (PCR).
Here are today's results in detail.
Hospitalized:
A total of 122 patients with COVID-19 disease are hospitalized in OKYY hospitals, 22 of whom are in serious condition.
Of the 22 patients critical, 12 are intubated, one is hospitalized in the Off-Respirator Intensive Care Unit and nine in the Increased Care Unit
Molecular Examination (PCR test)
Of the 4,989 laboratory diagnoses carried out today by the Molecular Method (PCR), 339 cases of COVID-19 disease were identified and verified, resulting as follows:
- 86 cases from 709 samples taken through the process of tracing contacts of already confirmed cases.

In addition, the following laboratory tests were carried out, without the detection of a case:
- From samples taken as part of a passenger and repatriated check, 934 laboratory tests were completed, and
- From samples taken as part of a check by the Cyprus Basketball Federation and the Cyprus Volleyball Federation, 44 laboratory diagnoses were carried out.
