The Department of Road Transport has recalled 52 vehicles of various manufacturers, due to a faulty TAKATA airbag, which recommends that owners do not use them until the defective part is replaced.
According to an announcement by the Department, there is a possibility of rupture of the airbag detonator and the launch of metal fragments, with the risk of serious injury or death.
The affected vehicles were placed under recall and an informative SMS was sent to their owners, to the contact number registered in the Department's computer system.
At the same time, the prescribed procedure for informing the owners by the distributors or representatives of the manufacturers will be applied.
