PAPHOS WINEGROWERS ON THE STREETS - Filenews 18/10 by Dora Christodoulou
A protest rally is being organized in Polemi on October 20 at 6.00pm by the viticulturists of the province of Paphos on the issue of downy mildew. The winegrowers will gather outside the building of the Polemi Community Council and will demonstrate demanding the payment of compensation to all grape varieties that were affected by downy mildew this year.
The extent of the problem is very large, the representatives of the winegrowers point out, as a result of which there is a significantly reduced production this year.
The organizers of the protest call on all the winegrowers of Paphos to attend the protest rally of the 20th of this year, in order to make the claim for compensation even stronger and more pressing to the authorities.
