STRAYS IN KONIA FOR YEARS - ''THE ANSWER I GOT WAS NOT TO FEED THEM'' - Pafos Press 22/9
A complaint from a resident of Konia has sparked serious concern; the resident sent PafosPress photos of a pack of stray dogs that, according to him, have been roaming the area for a long time.
According to the complaint, one of the female dogs has been in the area for about two to three years, and both the Community Authority and the relevant services have been informed about the animals' presence.
The resident claims that, despite repeated reports, no substantive solution has been provided to date, noting that the response he received was simply "not to feed the animals."
The photos sent to PafosPress show several dogs in an open area, without any apparent care or protection.
The issue, however, concerns not only animal welfare but also the need for organized and responsible management of strays, ensuring the protection of both the animals themselves and the local residents.
"It is a shame for these souls to remain abandoned with no one stepping up to take responsibility," the resident states, calling for intervention by the competent authorities.
