POST BOXES AND CyLOGIN
Next time you pick up your post at the Post Office you will probably receive a letter from Cyprus Post asking you to link your post box to your CyLogin by 30 November. If you already have a CyLogin, the procedure is simple.
If you don't have a CyLogin [which you will need increasingly for Government services going forward] this is the procedure:
Please do not attempt this over the weekend of 26/27 September as there are system updates being carried out and the system is not available!
Kamares residents who have a postbox at the Kamares Club will need to check with the club if there is any procedure to follow.
REGISTER FOR CyLOGIN
To register for Cylogin, follow these steps:
-Go to the official Cylogin website:
https://cylogin.cyprus.gov.cy.-Click on "Register here" and choose the type of profile you need (Citizens or Companies and Organisations).
-Fill in your details and complete the required form.
-Set a password for your account and register your email address.
-Set up a security question and confirm registration.
-Activate your profile by clicking the activation email sent to your registered email address**
-Once your profile is created, CyLogin will automatically send an activation email to the address you registered. Click the activation link in that email and your account is ready to use. For users who already hold credentials through the older 'Ariadne' system, CyLogin's website confirms these can still be used to log in.
** The system may automatically ask your bank to verify your information. However, for most non-Cypriots, the Banks do not always hold any information regarding your residency and only have details of your passport. If this is the case, the bank will not verify your information. If this is the case, make sure you save the information you have created. You then have two options:
1 Go into your bank with your residency information and information regarding the CyLogin account you are creating, and ask them to update your record so that they can verify your existence. You can try doing this over the phone to the bank's call centre but not sure if they will take the information over the phone but may allow you to email them.
2 Make an appointment at the Citizens Advice Bureau, taking with you information regarding the CyLogin account you are creating and your residency information and they will verify it on the spot so that the account can be activated.
