The formalities will be completed and the Lithuanian real estate agent who was arrested on May 16 last year in France on suspicion of usurping Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories will be extradited to the Republic of Cyprus.
The information was confirmed by competent sources without reference to when this will be done in time, noting that it will be done "as soon as the formalities are completed".
The Lithuanian had been arrested at Nice airport under a European warrant issued by the Republic of Cyprus and had appealed in early July to the execution of the warrant, which the French court rejected.
The appeal would take from two weeks to a month to be examined by the competent court, which was done and the court decided to reject the 53-year-old's request for non-execution of the European warrant. So the warrant will be executed and the Lithuanian will be given to the authorities of the Republic of Cyprus to be tried on the basis of the charges she faces, according to the same sources.
