The announcement of the organization of a major music festival in the occupied Castle of Kyrenia causes a storm of reactions, with the issue now passing to the diplomatic level. A source from the Deputy Ministry of Culture told KYPE that the issue "is being handled diplomatically by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs", at the same time that parties are raising the tone, calling for immediate actions and interventions to prevent the international promotion and normalization of the fait accompli of the occupation.
This is the NEXUS festival, which is scheduled for September 18 at the historic Castle of Kyrenia. The organizers promote it with the slogan "where history meets the future", a choice that causes even greater concern due to both the venue and the international scope of the event.
Behind the event is the Serbian organization EXIT, in collaboration with a company that operates in the occupied territories and organizes major events and festivals.
