The Fire Service received dozens of mass calls for support in freeing people from elevators, due to a power outage. The calls concerned all districts, but mainly Nicosia and Limassol, where there were more incidents.
With the restoration of the electricity supply, many of the elevators were put back into operation and, therefore, the intervention of the Fire Service was not necessary.
