Famagusta-Larnaca-Larnaca Airport Motorway
Cleaning works will be carried out on the motorway, in the section between Ayia Napa/Paralimni and Xylotymbos in both directions, from Monday 15/06/2026 to Friday 31/07/2026, from 07:00 to 16:00. Drivers are asked to be particularly careful and comply with the temporary road markings that will be placed.
On the Larnaca-Famagusta motorway, in the direction of Famagusta district, from the exit to the Xylotymbos community to the roundabout at the end of the motorway, from Monday 22 June 2026 until Friday 31 July 2026, between the hours of 07:00 and 16:00, pruning and cleaning works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway. During this time, the right lane in the direction from Larnaca to Paralimni will be closed in sections for a length of up to 3 kilometres.
On sections of the Larnaca Airport-Paralimni motorway, as well as the Larnaca-Kofinos and Larnaca-Nicosia motorways, from Monday 27/07/2026 to Thursday 06/08/2026, between the hours of 09:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon, weekdays except Fridays and weekends, emergency door installation works will be carried out on the central island. During the works, a section of the right lane of the motorway (tangential to the central island) will be closed in both directions, for a length of 100 meters, successively at various points.
On the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni motorway, as well as the Larnaca – Kofinou and Larnaca – Nicosia motorways, during the period 27/07/2026-30/09/2026, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, irrigation works will be carried out on the slopes of the motorways in both directions by the Department of Forestry. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected.
On the Larnaca Airport - Paralimni motorway, from 27/07/2026 to 30/09/2026, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30 - 14:30, watering works will be carried out on the slopes of the motorway in both directions. During the works, part of the shoulder of the motorway will be closed, in sections of 300 meters at a time. Traffic will not be affected.

From Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout, from Monday 03/08/2026 to Wednesday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30-15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the motorway. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time.
Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway
On sections of the Larnaca-Kofinou Motorway, as well as the Larnaca Airport-Paralimni and Larnaca-Nicosia Motorways, from Monday 27/07/2026 to Thursday 06/08/2026, between the hours of 09:00 in the morning and 14:00 in the afternoon, weekdays except Fridays and weekends, emergency door installation works will be carried out on the central island. On the old Larnaca - Kofinou road, from Tuesday 4/8/2026 to Friday 28/8/2026, daily except weekends and summer holidays (17-21/8/2026), pipeline construction works will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the above period, a section of the road between the villages of Anglisidon and Kofinou will be closed for a length of approximately 100 meters, at three simultaneous points, and traffic will be diverted to an adjacent lane using traffic lights.
Larnaca-Nicosia Motorway
On the Nicosia - Larnaca motorway, on Monday 27/07/2026 until Thursday 06/08/2026, except Fridays and Saturdays, from 8:30 to 14:00, pruning and cleaning works will be carried out on the central island of the Nicosia - Larnaca motorway in both directions. During the execution of the works, the tangential traffic lane of the central island will be closed in sections, for a length of 2,000m. approximately each time and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lanes.
On the Larnaca-Nicosia motorway, as well as the Larnaca-Famagusta and Larnaca-Kofinos motorways, during the period 27/07/2026-30/09/2026, from Monday to Thursday, between the hours of 08:30 – 14:30, watering works will be carried out on the slopes of the motorways in both directions by the Department of Forests. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, at a length of 1.5 km each time.
Limassol-Nicosia Motorway
On the Nicosia - Limassol Motorway, from the GSP roundabout to the junction with the Nicosia - Larnaca Motorway (A2) in both directions from Wednesday 08/07/2026 to Wednesday 30/09/2026, daily except weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, the Department of Forestry will periodically carry out watering works for plants on the slopes and embankments.
On the Nicosia – Limassol motorway, in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia, on Monday 03/08/2026 and Tuesday 04/08/2026, from 21:00 in the evening until 05:30 in the morning of the next day, works will be carried out to replace contraction / expansion joints on the Alikou bridge (across the Nicosia perimeter motorway). During the execution of the works, the middle and express lanes will be closed for a length of approximately 800 meters and traffic will be carried out only through the left lane.
On the Nicosia – Limassol motorway, in the direction from Limassol to Nicosia, on Wednesday 05/08/2026 and Thursday 06/08/2026, from 21:00 at night until 05:30 the next morning, work will be carried out to replace expansion / contraction joints on the Alikou Bridge (along the Nicosia Perimeter Highway). During the works, the left lane will be closed for approximately 800 meters and traffic will be diverted through the middle and express lanes.
Limassol-Paphos Motorway
On the Paphos-Limassol motorway near Kolossi, from Monday 03/08/2026 until Thursday 06/08/2026, daily from 21:00 p.m. until 05:30 the next morning, as well as on Saturday 08/08/2026, from 07:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., vegetation removal and concrete placement work will be carried out on part of the central island. During the work, the right lane will be closed in both directions for a length of approximately 1500 m. and traffic will be diverted to the left lane.
Nicosia-Kokkinotrimithia-Akaki Motorway
On the Nicosia-Denia Motorway, from the Archangelos interchange to the Kokkinotrimithia roundabout in both directions, from Wednesday 08/07/2026 to Wednesday 30/09/2026, daily except weekends and holidays, between the hours of 08:30 - 15:00, the Forestry Department will periodically carry out watering works for plants on the embankments and on the slopes.
Limassol - Saitta Motorway
On the Limassol - Saitta Motorway in the period from Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Wednesday 05/08/2026 between the hours of 08:00 a.m. to 15:30 p.m. daily except weekends, noise barrier installation works will be carried out on a section of the Limassol - Saitta motorway, opposite the PASCAL Private Primary School in the direction of Saitta. During the execution of the works, the slow-moving lane of the road will be closed for a length of approximately 300 meters and traffic will be conducted from the fast lane of the motorway.
Nicosia District
In Nicosia and Aglantzia, within the framework of the project “Improvement of Famagusta Avenue in Nicosia”, works lasting 24 months are being carried out from 20 February 2025, which are expected to be completed by 22 February 2027. Specifically, the Famagusta Avenue from its junction with Kalavryton Street to the Sopaz roundabout, approximately 1.7 km long. and a secondary road network of approximately 0.8 km in length, consisting of a section of Kalavryta, Pafos, Madaris and Semelis streets.
On the Kakopetria – Agios Nikolaos – Pinewood road, heading from Kakopetria to Pinewood, from Friday 17/07/2026 until Friday 31/07/2026, daily except weekends, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance work will be carried out on sections of the road surface of the Kakopetria – Agios Nikolaos – Pinewood road, with a total length of approximately 4 km. During the work, one lane of the road will be closed, in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, using stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the road to Lythrodontas from the old Nicosia - Limassol road, past Mathiatis, in the direction from Mathiatis to Lythrodontas, from Thursday 30/07/2026 until Friday 31/07/2026, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the road, with a total length of approximately 1900 meters. During the execution of the works, one lane of the road to Lythrodontas will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, with the use of stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the road to Lythrodontas from the old Nicosia-Limassol road, beyond Mathiatis, in the direction from Mathiatis to Lythrodontas, with a total length of approximately 1900m, on Thursday 30/07/2026 and Friday 31/07/2026, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the road. During the works, one lane of the road to Lythrodontas will be closed in sections (100 meters at a time) and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane, with the use of stop & go and appropriate signage.
On the Tembria – Galata – Kakopetria road, in the direction from Kakopetria to Tembria, on Friday 31/07/26, from 07:00 in the morning until 15:00 in the afternoon, periodic maintenance works will be carried out on sections of the road surface, with a total length of approximately 1 km. During the works, a section of the road from the junction with Alexandria Street to the junction with Michael Karaoli Street will be closed, with a total length of approximately 1 km in both directions, and traffic will be diverted via Alexandria Street and Michael Karaoli Street.
Limassol District
On the Kato Platres–Prodromos road, from Wednesday 24 June 2026 until Friday 31 July 2026, daily except weekends, between the hours of 07:00–15:00, slope cleaning and installation of mesh on slopes will be carried out. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for approximately 100 m. and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
On the Kato Platres – Lemythou road near the village of Lemythou, from Monday 13/07/2026 to Monday 10/08/2026, a private company will be carrying out stone cladding work on a retaining wall. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for approximately 100 m. and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
On the Limassol – Troodos road near the Tall Tree, from Monday 24/08/2026 to Wednesday 23/12/2026, a private company will carry out construction work on a retaining wall with an integrated lifting grid for existing walls. During the works, one lane of traffic will be closed for a length of approximately 100 m. and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent lane using temporary traffic lights.
Larnaca District
On Peloponnese Road in Larnaca, from Friday 03/07/2026 to Friday 07/08/2026, sidewalk construction work will be carried out. The works will be carried out on a section of approximately 100 meters, near the Kamares Roundabout and will require the cutting of part of the road surface. However, vehicle traffic will continue to operate normally, with the implementation of the necessary temporary traffic management measures.
On the old Larnaca-Kofinos road, from Friday 24/07/2026 until Friday 14/08/2026, daily except weekends, pipeline construction works will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the period, a section of the road between the villages of Menogia and Kofinos will be closed for a length of approximately 100 meters in each direction and traffic will be diverted to the adjacent traffic lane.
On Faneromenis Avenue in Larnaca, in the section from the Kamares Roundabout to the Agios Charalambos Leprosy Asylum Roundabout, from Monday 22 June 2026 to Monday 17 August 2026, construction works will be carried out for photo-controlled pedestrian crossings, sidewalks, green spaces and asphalt pavements, also within the framework of the Project “Priority Projects of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of Larnaca – Implementation of Bus Lanes and Cycle Paths”. During the works, temporary traffic regulations will be implemented on Faneromenis Avenue, in a section of approximately 1,000 meters. During the works, the direction from the Kamares Roundabout to the city center will remain closed to traffic. Traffic heading to the city center via Faneromeni Avenue will be diverted via Nikou and Despina Pattihi Avenue, Kalymnou Street, Agiou Georgiou Makri Street, Kaisareias Street, 1st April Street, ending at the Agiou Charalambos Leprosy Roundabout. In addition, the right lane in the direction from the city center to the Kamares Roundabout will remain closed, with traffic being conducted via the left lane. For the purposes of serving local access, the existing one-way street on Verias, Paros, Naxos and Pierias Streets will be temporarily removed, which will temporarily operate as dead ends. Entry will be allowed exclusively to residents and authorized vehicles of the area.
On the old Nicosia-Limassol road, in a section between the villages of Menogia and Kofinou, from Friday 26/06/2026 to Friday 31/07/2026, daily except weekends, between the hours of 08:00 – 17:00, pipeline construction works will be carried out by the Water Development Department. During the works, a section of the road will be closed for a length of approximately 100 meters and traffic will be diverted to an adjacent lane using traffic lights.
On Dimitras Avenue, in Larnaca, from Friday 17/07/2026 to Friday 21/08/2026, works will be carried out to replace a pipe culvert and construct sidewalks, within the framework of the Project “Priority Projects of the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) of Larnaca – Implementation of Bus Lanes and Cycle Paths”. During the works, The section of the avenue is closed to traffic. As for the section of Dimitras Street, from the intersection of Dimitras Street with Apollonos Street, this will be converted into a dead end and entry will only be allowed to business customers.
From Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Thursday 13/08/2026, from Monday to Thursday, watering works will be carried out on the central islands of the Larnaca District motorways by the Department of Forestry as follows: (a) from Wednesday 29/07/2026 to Thursday 30/07/2026, between the hours of 08:30 – 15:30, watering works will be carried out on the central island of the Larnaca – Kofinou motorway, from the Kalo Chorio roundabout to Kofinou. (b) from Monday 03/08/2026 to Thursday 13/08/2026, between the hours of 08:30–15:30 on the Larnaca Airport – Paralimni motorway, from Larnaca Airport to the Rizoelia roundabout and on the Larnaca – Nicosia motorway, from the Rizoelia roundabout to the Nisou exit. During the execution of the works, the lane adjacent to the central island of the motorway will be closed in sections in both directions, 1.5 km long at a time.
On sections of the Larnaca – Kofinou, Larnaca – Nicosia and Airport
