The training program, it is reported, included theoretical and practical training and was implemented by the contractor company supplying the vehicles, with the participation of specialized instructors of the manufacturing company who arrived in Cyprus for this purpose.

During the practical training, the participants became familiar with the operation of the vehicles, the operation of the firefighting equipment and their individual systems, as well as with techniques for safe driving and their operational use in forest firefighting conditions.

"The continuous training of the staff is a basic condition for the use of the modern means available to the Department of Forests", it is noted.

According to the announcement, the acquisition of the new fire trucks, combined with the appropriate training of their operators, significantly enhances the operational readiness of the Department and contributes to the more effective protection of forests, the natural environment and citizens from the risk of forest fires.
