ACT OF HUMANITY IN PAPHOS - HE FOUND A PURSE WITH MONEY AND DOCUMENTS

ACT OF HUMANITY IN PAPHOS - HE FOUND A PURSE WITH MONEY AND DOCUMENTS  - Filenews 16/8 by Dora Christodoulou

An incident that clearly demonstrates that humanity has not been lost nowadays, took place today, on the day of the great feast of Christianity, in Paphos. A fellow human being found a purse containing a large amount of money, as well as personal documents of its owner and handed it over to the Police.

Its owner was doubly lucky, since in addition to the amount of money, he was also able to "save" his trip, since today he was departing abroad, which would have been impossible to happen without the travel documents that were in the bag he lost.

The bag with the large amount of money and the other official identity documents of its owner was found in the area of the community of Mandria by Mr. Loukas Mitas. Without a second thought, Mr. Mitas searched for and located a police officer in the area and handed him the valuable item.

The policeman searched for its owner, locating him after a short time and handed him the items he had temporarily lost. By a game of chance, their owner would depart a few hours later on a trip abroad from Paphos Airport.

The finding of them by the citizen and the immediate mobilization of the police contributed to the fact that the found items came into his possession in time and he was able to depart a while ago for his planned trip. The citizen in question warmly thanked both the police officer and Mr. Mitas for their selfless actions and reserved the right for further information upon his return to Cyprus.
