Water consumption during this season remains increased compared to the same period last year, the Department of Water Development said in a statement, pointing out that this situation "highlights the need for further strengthening of saving measures and for even more rational use of water by everyone".
At the same time, the Water Development Department states that the free distribution of water saving equipment to households continues. To date, about 35% of the total number of parcels planned to be given to consumers has been allocated, he adds.
The Department calls on those who have already received the free nozzles for faucets and flow reducers for showers to proceed immediately with their installation.
"According to verified data, the relevant equipment can reduce water consumption by up to 30%," the announcement notes.
At the same time, it is recalled that similar water-saving nozzles are also available on the market at a low cost.
"Water saving depends not only on the installation of equipment, but also on our daily habits," notes the Department.
"Avoiding waste, repairing leaks in a timely manner and using water wisely remain essential elements to safeguard the country's water resources," the announcement concludes.
