The Cyprus Addictions Authority has issued a warning to the public about products sold as CBD, CBG or "plant-based", but may contain dangerous psychoactive substances.
According to AAEK, such products have been identified in the Cypriot market in various forms, such as liquid and disposable e-cigarettes, oils, drops, flowers, resins and edible products. The indication "CBD" or "herbal product", he emphasizes, is not a guarantee of safety.
Their consumption can cause severe reactions, including severe dizziness, tachycardia, difficulty breathing, confusion, panic attacks, loss of consciousness, convulsions and poisoning. In case of symptoms, citizens are urged to seek medical help immediately.
