The immediate intervention of the Fire Service saved the worst residential area in Tala, Paphos district. A fire that broke out for reasons still unknown in two vehicles parked in the garage of a house, became consumed by the fire a while ago, while houses were also in immediate danger from the flames, since the area is densely populated and with a strong existence of greenery.
The two vehicles belonging to a foreign resident of Tala were parked one behind the other within the parking lot of the residence. Under circumstances that are being investigated, a fire broke out in them which caused their complete destruction.
Two Fire Brigade vehicles that went with members of the force directly to the area managed to extinguish the fire before it spread to the house, but also to adjacent houses and green areas.
The examinations continue by the Police, the Fire Brigade and the Electromechanical Service.
